The Ice Box Adult Hockey League is a no-check league with teams ranging from advanced to beginner. The league is open to men and women of 18 years and older. Games are played at the Ice Box Skating Rink Pittston, PA and the Ice Box North in Scranton.

The league is currently broken into four divisions: A-Advanced, B-Intermediate, C-Intermediate. There are four seasons each year. Fall/Winter Season and Spring Season consist of a 15 game season. The summer consist of a 10 games season. Playoff are included as well.

Teams generally consist of between 12 and 16 members and are headed by a captain who is responsible for the team's organization and finances. Games are three 15 minute periods with one 5 minute sudden death overtime.

Fall/Winter Season begins the week of September 10
Winter/Spring Season begins Mid-January
Summer Season begins end of May or Beginning of June.

  • Team cost: 15 game season $3,750 per team *Early bird discount $200.00
  • 10 game season $2,600.00 per team *Early bird discount $130.00
  • Team fees cover ice time, referees, and scorekeepers.

    Ice Box Policy on Unpaid or Late Payments

    If your payment is either late or not paid, then your (team, son, daughter, or yourself) will not be eligible to play on any travel, high school, University, or any Ice Box related leagues or activities (Adult & In-House, etc) until you are paid in full. Further actions may be taken if problems worsen. If you commit to play and are on the roster, you may be required to pay. Back to Top
